We have to support customers in 20 countries, often the standard of english at the other end is poor or is a dialect (e.g. american :-) and software support is a real pain ! The char's that cause the most problems are: ! (bang or pling) : (colon or doublepoint) ; (semicolon) { } [ ] # @ (these are often not on non english keyboards) P.S. In english 'Char' = tea (usually hot with milk and sugar) ! Maybe we should move this one to sci.lang or /dev/null ? -- John Pettitt G6KCQ, CIX jpettitt, Voice +44 1 398 9422 UUCP: ...uunet!mcvax!ukc!pyrltd!slxsys!jpp (jpp@slxsys.co.uk) Disclaimer: I don't even own a cat to share my views !
