The controller is a standard PC compatible RLL >not a propriatary AT&T controller (sorry I do not know the model number >off hand). We have brought up Minix on an Adaptec 2,7 RLL controler in a Zenith 158. I used the xt_wini that was posted by Dr. Tanenbaum as a 'pre 1.2' release and supported the Western Digital controler. The only change that had to be made was to change the number of sectors per track from 17 to 25 (there are actually 26 sectors per track, but the last one is reserved as a possible replacement for a bad sector). It has worked flawlessly. Glen Overby Bitnet: nu070156@ndsuvm1 UUCP: uunet!ndsuvax!ncoverby
