I had the same problem with sed.  I fixed it by outputing a null character
instead of the debugging messages.  I have no idea why this works.
The sums seemmed to be correct now.  There is still a problem though.
With certain shar files, minix seems to 'lock up' and it says that there
is a process called 'racing' when F1 is hit.  What does 'racing' mean?
