For some reason, I have had practically no success sending APE to non-Bitnet sites. Generally the error is of the form "unknown host". (Bitnet users have had virtually no problems.) I would like very much to provide APE to all interested persons. Therefore, I am asking for a volunteer or volunteers who can make APE available for FTP over ARPANET and/or EDUNET. APE is currently in the form of four VMS_SHAR files, each of which is about 65-70 blocks in size. If you are interested in volunteering, please reply directly to me. In addition, if you have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong, please send me mail. I am using wiscvm as a Bitnet-ARPANET gateway. David Bogartz HBO & Co.
