This is not a Future(s) problem.  I think that we have all recognised
that none of us could hold all the information -- not back then, and
even more so now.  That's why we originally banded together in a
mutually supportive Unix Users' Group.  That's why we still communicate
(some of us less and less frequently) over the Net.
