Message-ID: <126@asi.UUCP> Date: Mon, 5-Oct-87 08:50:13 EDT Article-I.D.: asi.126 Posted: Mon Oct 5 08:50:13 1987 Date-Received: Fri, 9-Oct-87 04:46:08 EDT Organization: Assessment Systems, Inc., Philadelphia, PA Lines: 24 Keywords: make, nmake We have just started using the NMAKE package from the AT&T Tollchest. It seems to have quite a few desireable features which the normal MAKE program does not have. However, we have encountered a few major glitches. The current problem is that the NMAKE does not seem to handle sccs files (s.*) correctly. The first time NMAKE is executed, everything works fine. Subsiquent executions, however generate the message: make: (warning) ??????.c source has changed. I assume this is because nmake is confusing the last mod date of the sccs file and the last mod date of the GET version of the code. ---- Does any have a list of generated bugs and fixes on the net? Since this version of nmake has been around since 1985, I would assume that there are many bugs which we have not even seen yet. Any help would be appreciated. -- Metro T.
