Summary: A generalized help command type facility is desired.


I am in search of one of the various help databases that I have seen posted
to usenet from time to time.  I dont know what the names of any of them are,
nor do I have the path to any of the sites.  I just saw some discussions a
year or so ago talking about various facilities.  What would be useful would
be a program or series of programs which assisted a user in determining a)
what program to use to attempt to achieve a particular goal, and b) what the
source of a particular problem is.
