It has many enhancements over the original ve. Unfortunately, those enhancements have made it very large so it probably won't run without virtual memory. Enhancements include processing of more types of reports (contracts, routes, weather, ship, etc.) and more modes (mov, nav, fleet). I have been looking at adding tactical displays for nuke targetting/destruction analysis and fortress placement and I have several shell scripts that I use for starvation/plague/delivery/etc. analysis which I am considering adding for speed. However, there is a problem with this where you are concerned. It was developed on a VAX running 4.2 so porting may be a problem.
