DOS PROCESSES Message-ID: <193@pembina.UUCP> Date: Thu, 15-Oct-87 12:29:42 EDT Article-I.D.: pembina.193 Posted: Thu Oct 15 12:29:42 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 17-Oct-87 11:00:39 EDT Organization: U. of Alberta, Edmonton, AB Lines: 14 Keywords: independant processes I've just gotten multitasking working and I'm trying to get independant processes running. I use dos Exit() to terminate which works great if I run the process under a CLI. If I load the routine and do a CreateProc() from a master routine the slave runs just dandy until it Exits() at which time I get visited by an old friend. My question how do I get a process going indepentant of other processes on the system and have it exit cleanly. I've done this using tasks under exec but I need to do disk I/O and don't feel inclined to write my own file routines. Many thanks.
