Just one request to anyone working on such a board, >make it NTSC compatible!! I would definitely buy the above configuration How would you squeeze 1024 lines into a ~480 line screen? Scan convertors which do this sort of thing for high-end workstations cost many kilobucks. Probably as much as a 1024 line monitor. There is no easy way to make 1024x1024 resolution NTSC compatible. NONE. ZILCH. Furthermore, add-on graphics hardware will require custom drivers. We run the risk of falling into an IBM like CGA, PGA, EGA chasm which the Amiga avoids because ALL Amigas have the same graphics hardware (this is one reason I bought an Amiga). You can, of course, put a bridge card in an A2000 and use a PC graphics card with the high resolution, and run PC software for it. Then you have the best of both worlds, but you will have to pay for it! ...sjk -- * Defence & Civil Institute * ...!utzoo!dciem!king * of Environmental Medicine * Stephen J King - Simulation & Training Group - (416) 635-2149
