it is NOT only a matter of not moving the information... when intuition
says DO NOT MODIFY there is good reason for it... even intuition must follow
a locking protocol whenever it messes with internal variables to prevent
unpleasant side effect... so:

	"don't mess with these" 

really means:

	"DON'T MESS WITH THESE"

(of course, we *may* be induced into providing system-approved means to modify
 the information in a future/near-future rom release)
