With the PC Transporter (Little Blue Card) you must have a drive capable of initially reading an IBM type disk. This can be done in 2 ways. The first way is to purchase the 5 1/4 360k double-sided disk drive that AE is selling for little blue. This drive will function as an IBM 360k DSDD drive under MS-DOS, it will also act as a 360k DSDD drive for ProDOS. The second way of getting your MS-DOS software booted up initially is to get one of the Apple Platinium 3.5" drives (do not use the white ones!) and connect it directly to the back of the little blue card. This will function as a 720k IBM disk drive under MS-DOS and as an 800k drive under ProDOS. Either of these options will create a disk that is readable in an IBM computer. the Little Blue will act as a drive controller under ProDOS so that you can still use these drives when not running MS-DOS. I do not believe the drives will work under Apple DOS 3.3. Once you have your MS-DOS stuff loaded, you can format a standard Apple Disk II disk as an MS-DOS disk and save your data or applications to it. This means that if you are in a school situation and needed say 10 little blue cards, you would only need to buy 1 IBM type drive, you copy your software over to standard Apple disks and use those. Hope this clarifies things a little. dale UUCP: [ ihnp4 sdcsvax nosc ] !crash!pnet01!pro-sol!pro-colony!dale ARPA: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!pro-colony!dale@nosc.mil INET: pro-colony!dale@pro-sol.cts.com proline: [ pro-carolina pro-party pro-sol ] dale@pro-colony pro-colony :-> 1 214 370-7056 - 300/1200 - 24 hrs
