The older versions had a -20 extension after the number. The newer updated chips all have a -38 extender. Just get the newer versions, most notably the GLUE chip, and you should have no problems. I had the same problem with my machine. I won't try to look at the serial # now, and the Glue fixed the problem. As far as the annoying Key Clicks, I have never run into this as a problem. I have although tried to place a Version #2 Inteligen Keyboard controller in place of my version #1 to no avail. Tried it on two machines and got the same problem. KeyClick *all the time. Bummer. because there are some programs that don't really like the version #1 chip. My machine is a OCT 1985 machine. How about it someone from Atari?
