Warning, the pearle program recently posted is taking a bit longer than 15 minutes per image for the default set up. I am getting one complete ray traced image about every 35-45 minutes (sorry, I haven't kept closer track than that). At this rate, the 24 image movie that is supposed to be created by the default initialization file will take over 12 hours to produce. Of course, the only reason I ran pearle, was so I could get some studying done instead of wasting time programming/hacking, so all's well. BTW, pearle does restart correctly, except that the last image, if not completed, is started over again. 2. I am running the pearle program on a floppy disk formatted with the DA Format11, no problem so far. 3. ct does not seem to save the timestamp when run from the desktop. 4. In gulam, "cp -t infile outfile" copies infile to outfile, preserving timestamp. 5. Any plans to make a more recent version of gulam publicly accessible? 6. Has anyone gotten a version of aim higher than 1.0? ATARINET has a new version on their server, but the file seems to be corrupted (latest version, from the docs, appears to be v2.31). --Patrick Simon mpsimon@phoenix.princeton.edu
