If you'll look at the source, you'll see that I don't preserve the old timestamp if you're simply copying one file to another, rather than one or more files to a destination directory. My reason was that this can be seen as creating a new file, rather than making a backup (and I think MS-DOS does this? It's been a while since I've used MS-DOS), but in retrospect I decided that this is hogwash. It's a simple thing to change in the source.
