Nope, 3b2 are 96tpi and 3b1 are 48tpi.  You would need hardware/software
chamges to do it.  There is a package that allows 3b2's to read MS-DOS
so I guess one could read/write MS-DOS files on the 3b2 and read them
on the 3b1
