Subject: Turbo C recompiles too often

If I enter a program using the integrated environment and then hit
alt-R, the program gets compiled and then run.  When it is finished,
it types something like, "Hit any key to continue ....".  If I hit
alt-R again, it should run immediately because no changes were made
to the source.  It insists on recompiling the program.  Has anybody
else noticed this behaviour?
