I also am using an internal Everex 2400 in my own machine. It seems to dial a little slower (with same settings in Procomm v2.4.2 as the Everex 1200 I used to have), and in one program, doesn't hang up the phone properly. It is only a minor irritation as it is possible to "+++" and then "ATZ". All in all, I have been happy with the Everex modems -- among other things call progress and Data to Voice switches are easily handled on the Everex. If price is a concern, I believe the Everex wins in this category. However, if you qualify as a Sysop, you can get USR products for 1/2 price.
