Recently, there's been some talk of the Watson voice/phone interface
board.  I'd like to point out an alternative which is more expensive 
than the Watson, but has lots more functionality.  Brooktrout 
Technology manufactures and sells voice boards which can be used in
a multitask system -- up to 6 voice boards & phone lines can be controlled
with a single IBM AT.

They also make a PC-Fax board which allows you to create, send, receive,
and edit faxes on your PC.  Faxes can be received and transmitted while
you work in your Lotus or word processor.
