Several days ago, I posted a note here asking for help in getting
MSKERMIT V2.29 to wake up my Everex 1200 baud modems in two
AT clones.  The answer came via other channels, and it is that
V2.29 apparently has a bug that keeps it from working with certain
internal modems.  The bug has been fixed in later versions, and
the copy of MSKERMIT V2.29b I received today works like a champ.
Apparently the bug had something to do with UART timing problems.
