I have to disagree with this. Dark Castle could be a very enjoyable game BUT they made some serious mistakes. Could someone tell me if these mistakes are fixed in Beyond Dark Castle? (*) THE DICTATORIAL MISTAKE: The game does not allow you to jump to a specific screen, or save a game, both of which would allow you to practice. On arcade games in the arcade this makes sense. On a personal computer this is sacrilege and fascist. INstead, you have to try and get thru a million screens just to get to the one you want. FURTHERMORE, if you make a mistake, you end up in the same dunjeon every time. Getting out is easy, once you practice a while, and boring. It makes the game interminable. They should have provided a shortcut for expert players out of the dungeon, or back to the screen you died on. I was well on my way to mastering Dark Castle when I ran into these problems. I could have finished the game, but playing it become so cumbersome and repetitive I just put it away. What a shame, cause the game has such promise. THE GREATEST MAC GAME OF ALL: If you want to see how enjoyable and addictive a game can be, check out Lode Runner. They let you start at any screen to practice, make up your own screens, decide how many men to start with, etc... That is a game designed for personal computers. I suggest you get this game instead. wis wi
