What I am after, is to have text data in each field; be able to locate data in these fields by HC find; then be able to click on any data field on the card (the transparent button occupying the same space as the field) and go to another card that has additional data. The fields are 1 line, approx 32 chars in Geneva 9 pt. Problem: I chose background. drew in some lines (showing on card relationships of the data), added single line fields, then added transparent buttons on top of the fields. Now, when I try to enter data into a field, it gets entered into into a lower line of which the topmost edge is the bottom of the field. All I see on the screen is the top edge of the alpha characters. Question: Where did I go wrong (besides not wading through all 700+ pages of the HC book before trying to create a meaningful [to me] database). What do I need to do to have functional data fields and transparant buttons occupying the same space in the background. Thanks, TeriAnn Wakeman
