Is it just me? No, it isn't. I have no problems with the Mac screen, and while I too would like a bigger monitor to display more windows, the monitor size generally doesn't bother me. Certainly for applications like heavy-duty desktop publishing or for, say, a graphic artist, a big screen would be very valuable, but for everyday use the regular screen is fine.
