If told to, MacKermit SAYS it is saving the settings file on top of an
existing settings file, but it doesn't really do it.  The old settings
remain.  However, if you save it under a new name, it works just fine.
Then you can rename the new file to the old name and all works nicely.
However, it is a bug.
