My final comment on this matter is that I suspect that as soon as people start using MultiFinder (which will be the standard operating environment in 3-6 months for many users) you will be cursing the small monitor. Part of this is because Apple hasn't yet put any special window management into MultiFinder (beyond the layer manager) and you soon get swamped with windows if you run multiple applications. Worse still, as more applications run in background you really may want to SEE what those applications are WRITING into their windows so hidden windows may be a pain. David Gelphman
