The program is version 4.0 of the University of Waterloo's Maple. It will run on a Mac Plus with a hard disk, although this is minimal. (lots of RAM helps!!!). The program is currently a direct translation of the command line versions of Maple that run on other (larger) machines. Someone at Waterloo told me that they are considering working on a Macish version if they get a chance to get around to it. The cost (last April) was $1000 Canadian for a single user license. Contact them for info on possible educational discounts. You will need MPW to get the program running (just MPW - you won't need the languages).
