It has obscure origins (from an American Radio Relay League booklet) but it has the following features: o Hard to type o Hard to pronounce o Has never been used as an acronym These are highly desirable features, for you can't tell whether the author of the program you're currently hacking has made use of catchalls such as "foo","foobar", "qwerty", etc. (Oh well... one could use grep I suppose but for a quick and dirty hack...)
