I know it sounds stupid (and probably leads to horrible performance) but it might come in handy. For a while, our single RA-81 vax had a 15 Mbyte swap partition (ra0b) and a spare 7 Mbyte partition (ra0e). We were constantly running out of swap space and I couldn't get psyched to doing a full dump/reformat/restore to change the partitions. It would have been nice to be able to say "swap on ra0b and ra0e". Would that have worked? -- Roy Smith, {allegra,cmcl2,philabs}!phri!roy System Administrator, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016
