I've been running news 2.11 straight off the shelf for almost a year now with no problems under Microport System V/AT. The news software is fine and wonderful. Get 2.11, patch level 8. (Careful with some of the later patches as others have mentioned problems with subsequent patches). > Oh well. News runs > just fine on the '386 (death to the kludgey 286!! it makes my life hell). Not quite sure how to construe this comment, but as a 286 owner, and a user of Microport System V/AT 2.3, it worries me. Don't let Microsoft have all the fun (and marketshare) :-) with OS/2! BTW, IBM seems to have a little investment in the 286 chip with their new line of machines. :-) > John M. Sully > Microport Systems > Technical Support -- Robert C.
