The board is only $89.00 for the 2 port configuration with the second two ports optional. It would seem that with the influx of numerous dumb serial boards that can be configured for the additional COM 3 and COM 4 ports that somebody somewhere would have written a COM driver for them. I know I am looking at poor performance but performance is not what I am currently after. I am searching after convenience. I run a XENIX (SCO) based BBS in St. Louis. I have one port on the modem and use the other for monitoring the system upstairs on a terminal. I would like to put a third port on line to a second phone line for transmitting out net mail so I don't interfere with the BBS operation. I don't want (and simply can't afford) to spend $500 to $1000 just to get a third port. Neither do I wish to lose my ability to both monitor and logon to my system from upstairs. Your creative solutions for this dilema will be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Mike {sun vertigo aims research ucbvax pyramid decwrl}!sgi!sgistl!slacbbs!mike MSDOS....just say NO!
