[ Since I cannot reach those that should see this via mail, I'm posting
  it in the hope that they'll see it here. ]

DEVON suffered a crashed primary hard disk on Thursday (Oct 8th).  Efforts
to restore life were unsuccessful by Friday, so a new hard drive was ordered.
The replacement is supposed to arrive Monday, so I should be online no
later than Tuesday (13th).  News and Mail are being held at vu-vlsi
(devon's primary neighbor) until then.
