Summary: poor polling


Utgpu shares its dialout modems with other machines/people.  The sharing
seems to be awful one sided these days, and as a result utgpu doesn't poll
as often as it should.  So, I ask those sites that utgpu polls via phone
to please be patient.  I am trying to get something done about the situation.
