Since Greg asked me to post the response here...

You shouldn't worry about the dciem<->mnetor news link since it is a
very restricted news link (2 Toronto groups). We get "all" of our news
from utzoo. The only possible problem we (you up in Ottawa and here at dciem)
might face is the disruption of e-mail service (and I'm sure you that you
know what fun a disruption of mail service can be :-) should mnetor decides
to drop mail links and the link to uunet in the U.S.

In short... don't panic [yet].
