Namely, you had to write over the data you wanted to destroy with something like: 10101... 01010... 00000... 11111... Does anyone know about this standard? Any idea of the technical issues that were addressed during the creation of the standard? Please send me mail as this isn't exactly crypto stuff - More of system security.
