Opitical Electronics Inc has recently released a colorization
module which if I understand correctly is the first stage
in adding color to a monochrome display. 

With only 8 bits, can this thing work on video images with a 
television broadcast bandwidth? I.E. Can it colorize ANY motion
picture if placed in the correct circuit?

Is it fast enough to colorize in real time or does it require frame
by frame editing?

Anyone seen or evaluated it?
