Trek was saved for second and third seasons by *letter-writing campaigns* by the fans. NASA named the first (unoperational, sadly) space shuttle ENTERPRISE, due to the incredible number of letters received from fans. Star Trek: The Motion Picture was brought about by letters to Paramount from fans. Not to mention all subsequent films that were brought about by the response to the first. Not to mention the new TV series. Etc. etc. THE POINT IS: We don't have to take this lying down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WRITE to the address that was posted a few articles back. (It's not that many, just hit 'P' a few times...that's it. Good.) Write to them, on legal-sized paper, with the address on the envelope, and NOTHING ELSE. DO NOT WRITE "Max Headroom" on the envelope or the letter will be sent to the fan mail department and the appropriate people will not see it. BE POLITE. Be *unfailingly* polite. Mention the fact that the show will do better in another timeslot. It's a known fact that Friday nights are bad for their kind of audience. Star Trek was killed off back in '69 by NBC broadcasting it Friday nights at 10 pm. And we all know how much of a mistake that was... DO NOT use bad language. Do not be insulting. BE POLITE. (I can't stress this enough.) If you're not, they'll simply throw away the letter without reading it, and that does no good at all. And lastly... GET *ALL* OF YOUR FRIENDS WHO WATCH THE SHOW TO DO THE SAME!!!!! Thank you. We can bring the show back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "He looks just like Max Headroom!" Lance A. Sibley "Actually, he looks just like me."
