GLOBAL KILL FILE: At the news group selection level, type ^K. Add the line /mading/a:j This will KILL any article in ANY NEWS GROUP that you read that has the word `mading' in it. POOF: no more eric anywhere. LOCAL KILL FILE: At the article selection level, type ^K. Add the line... /mading/a:j ------ The suggestion for the global kill file is a wee bit drastic (and possibly slow) because it will cause rn to search the entire article for the pattern specified. You may want to cut the search down by searching the header only `/mading/h:j'. The rn documentation recommends that you use local kill files.
