I don't, in fact, wish that was true.  If you were a figment of my
imagination, I would find that deeply disturbing and cause for alarm.

As it is, the fact that The Rhonda Manifestation is the product of someone's
else's malicious intent and festering sense of humor is satisfactory for me.
I have no desire to take credit for myself.

The Rhonda Manifestation claims to have gotten in contact (or had friends
get in contact--it isn't exactly clear) with a "real" Mark Ethan Smith
at the address posted in Larry's article.

I strongly recommend that anyone who gives a flying fuck at a rolling 
doughnut over this whole affair should attempt to do likewise.  You will
then see why I didn't raise hell over the fact that Larry posted the 
address in the first place.

So, like The Rhonda Manifestation says:

I don't suppose any instructions on how to locate the real Rhonda 
Scribner will be forthcoming, will they?  No, that would be an invasion
of privacy, wouldn't it.  Guess we should just stick instead to those all-
American values:  freedom of speech, right to privacy, and unabashed
duplicity.

Sorry, folks, you'll only be able to solve half of the mystery by yourself.
The other half is being uncooperative.
