You know the reason as well as I do. > he deliberately > caused harm to another user of chinet, and was removed. Not > because of what he said, but what he did. THAT'S a flame. Mark Sunderlin posted my .plan to the net, without my knowlege or consent. I felt I had been harmed and said so. Randy said that what Sunderlin had done was "within the limits of free speech," and I was told that if I didn't want my .plan posted to the net, I should have used the paranoid person function. Sunderlin said that he had not "intended" any harm, that he had merely wanted to prove that I was real to an obviously hostile pseudo who had been saying I was an AI. Of course he never explained why he didn't just email the .plan to the pseudo. But since he claimed that he had "intended" no harm, he wasn't denied access, and I was blamed for not having been paranoid enough. So I fingered a longtime user to see how paranoid they were, and sure enough, they had an open .plan also, so I posted it. "Within the limits of free speech," Randy had said, right? Nope. Since nobody had done it to Sunderlin, he got away with claiming he didn't know it could be harmful, but since he'd done it to me, I already *knew* it was harmful and got pulled for doing it to somebody else. Since I had intended to show that it was harmful, I was guilty of "intending" to cause harm. Not what I did, but what I "intended." But, like the man said, here I am again. Randy runs a pretty loose system, and even pseudos who spend all their time on ad hominem attacks can post, nobody asks for ID, and Randy doesn't have any way to contact Rhonda so nobody can find out if Bill Vajk is writing the Rhonda articles or not. Meg doesn't know for sure. And Bill once posted a most enlightening article on chinet about how it is "natural" for people to say one thing to your face and another behind your back, so I wouldn't take Bill's word. ;-) > The person harmed > and Mark have since had a continuing dialog, and just recently > asked me to re-instate Mark's chinet/usenet account. Well, I was harmed first and I never asked you to reinstate Sunderlin's account, mainly because you never pulled it. Way I heard it, the "person harmed," realized I wouldn't have done it if Sunderlin hadn't done it to me first, and flamed him good. > It was > done, and Mark is now an active member again, and has his > own conference on chinet's PicoSpan system. > You are welcome to join. (312) 283-0559. > Ya didn't tell 'em the name of the conference. You think they can psych it out like you psych out people's "intentions," Randy? So, okay, I'll do it myself. I've got my very own anti-fascist conference on chinet, and I call it the profs conf. (Not to be mistaken for any copyrighted system with a similar name.) It's a top secret, classified, eyes only conference designed to permanently record your remarks and transmit them to your boss, your spouse, your ex-spouse(s), your SO(s), your neighbors, your kids, various government agencies, and a few private data bases. For security purposes, it also erases your brain every night. It also has some of the top fascists in Chicago lurking in deep background (if they haven't been deported yet). And lot of my flames that are so poisonously hatefilled that I don't even post them to net.flames. >-- >that's the biz, sweetheart..... >Randy Suess >..!ihnp4!chinet!randy Nah. Just a hobby. --Mark
