   Ed, the reason the overwhelming majority of the content on netMeg is from
Houghton is that students at Michigan Tech in Houghton can call netMeg for
the charge of a local call via Merit. I am an alumnus of Michigan Tech, as well
as the co-founder of the PC User's group there, which was the organization that
talked Meg's board up around there. One of the PCUG members, Nick Holland, 
brought the Merit/m-net link to our attention, and we cashed in on it- 
particularly since, at the time, no one down there seemed to be aware of what 
a BBS is for.

Furthermore, should you be concerned that *I* exist, please feel free to call
