We are looking at starting a project which could make good use of a code
generator generator for rapid prototyping of code generation strategies.
It's a research project, so we'd like a code generator generator which is
powerful and of high quality, but not necessarily of production quality.

Has anyone had experience with a commercial or academic system which they
would recommend?
