Austin, Tx Lines: 25 Keywords: v.32, 9600 bits per second, price i have been reading this news group for the last year hoping to see some discussion of the new high speed V.32 modems (9600 bits per second, full duplex). i've seen some discussion of the telebit trail- blazer, but that isn't a v.32 is it? the first ones i saw last year were around $3000, but i saw an advertizement the other month from uds that said quantity one for $1495 and there was a press release that said the price of a v.32 would be around $750 for a pc card v.32. at those prices it seems like somebody must be buying by now. i would like to know if anyone has any experience with any v.32's. do they work? are they really available (i have never seen one). what companies say they make them. if you want to send mail to me, i will summarize and post to the net. i would like to buy some of these v.32's for our electronic bulletin board, but i would like to hear from some real user whether the things really work. bryant wilder (512) 440-2033 sun!oakhill or {gatech,ihnp4,uunet,harvard}!ut-sally!oakhill
