I Just installed gnu 18.49 on a sun3/260. I did the installation, not from the console but from a vt100. It worked fine. Now I just got access to the console. I logged in, fired up gnu to test it. Thingsd go fine, the message "loading sun-mouse.el ...done" appears and gnu waits. At my next response it says "end of file while parsing". Not being a weenie of any type on these machines I ignored the emacstool stuff when I installed it figuring that I would like to see what windows do(I am a complete window virgin) before I played with that stuff. Is that what is screwing me up? Should I ignore the semi-error message about end of file while parsing?. If I use an ".emacs" init file I also get an "error in init file". Clearly something is happening down there in sun-mouse.el. Jerry Freedman, Jr "Every silver lining jfjr@mitre-bedford.arpa has a cloud to go around it" (617)271-4563
