Specifically: - What is the status of PTY support and sub-processes? - How do I activate the ptys? (I have Emacs 18.47, and Kevin Carosso ptys.) Specifically: .. I assume that I must define have-pty in config.h, .. what about defining "subprocesses" in config.h? If it is not defined, it seems that the code in process.c is not active, and if it is defined, several files fail to compile. - Have you got Dired to work? If yes, how? - Same question for compilation in a subprocess and display of the errors along with the code? How did you do it? - Finally, is the VMS-GNU-EMACS list still active, and is there a Bitnet list server offering it? Thank you a lot for any information or pointer you can give me.
