Are they all mono-spaced? I know Courier is. Maybe that has something to do with it. Anyway, you can get soft copy of the AFM files from Adobe. They are available from their file server. They also have some sample programs and ducuments on line. Most of the free Postscript developer's kit is there, except for the case-study, I think. Anyway, this is as good of a way as any to get AFM info. Just send mail to: adobe!ps-file-server@decwrl.dec.com and include the word "help" in the message. Yow will get a message back with instructions for requesting index listings and files. There is also a section on proper file-server etiquette. (SP?)
