metafont parameter settings for xerox write-white print engines and
a wide range of other printers are the subject of a regular column
in tugboat.  current information is maintained by doug henderson,
the tug metafont coordinator, dlatex@ucbcmsa.bitnet .
the current "best" settings for the relevant parameters, as listed
in tugboat 8#2, p 133, are
	blacker         .6
	fillin         -.3
	o-correction    .6
there was also a note regarding the choice of these settings, and
a longer article by John Gourlay (same issue, p 128) reporting some
unexpected behavior by metafont whereby the pen path is modified as
blacker increases.  suggest you have a look at that article before
beginning to manufacture fonts wholesale.
