Davis - College of Engineering Lines: 48 We have been successfully using mh 6.5 for about a year on a vax running ultrix 1.2. In September we upgraded to ultrix 2.0 and things continued to work. (mh was remade for 2.0) Last week send started behaving oddly. Any To: addresses containing a 't' were truncated including the 't'. i.e. support-->suppor. This problem occured within post as running post by hand with some debug switches enabled reported correct addresses, but the mail was bounced and /usr/spool/mail/syslog showed the incorrect address. /usr/ucb/mail continued to function properly. After a day or so the problem dissapeared. Today the problem reappeared, but now the offending character is 'p' instead of 't'. Here is the output from post: iris<51> /usr/new/lib/mh/post -verbose -debug -watch Mail/draft To: support Subject: testing Date: Wed, 11 Nov 87 13:53:48 PST From: arons testing. ignore this. ------- -- Addresses -- local: support net: uucp: -- Folder Copies -- fcc: iris<52> After this I get a message that user su is unknown. Here is our configuration: version: MH 6.5 #47[UCI] (iris) of Fri Sep 25 13:37:47 PDT 1987 options: [BSD42] [BSD43] [BERK] [TTYD] [DUMB] [MHE] [NETWORK] [BIND] [RPATHS] [ATZ] [ISI] [MHRC] [SBACKUP='"#"'] [SENDMTS] [SMTP] [POP] Can anyone tell me what might be going on here?
