I'm assessing various UNIX-style (i.e. UNIX compatible, more or less) Operating Systems for the PC/AT and its compatibles. What I want to know for the list of Operating Systems given at the bottom of this message is: i. How compatible with 'standard' UNIXs/XENIXs is it? ii. Does it come with source? iii. Does it come with a compiler? iv. Will MS-DOS/PC-DOS applications run under it? Fully integrated? v. How much does it cost, and where is it available from? vi. Does it support multi-tasking, multi-user, networks? vii. ..anything else special about it? The list in which I'm interested is: 1. MINIX 2. uSOFT XENIX 3. SCO XENIX 4. QNX (Quantum Software Systems) 5. ...any others worthy of recomendation. Any replies much appreciated. If I get some useful information I'll post it back again. Thanks and Regards to all. Karl
