I am having a similiar problem.  About every 40th line, the screen will go
blank from that line on.  You must hit return until the line that the screen
began going blank on hits the top of the screen in which the whole screen is
refreshed.  I am not running on a Kaypro PC however, rather an IBM PC/AT with
a Video 7 card.
