It might be more accurate to say that it is in the Massachusetts "stack" :-). I do think it is correct that is should be shown as a transport layer protocol. EGP, GGP, and other similar internet protocols provide services normally thought of as in the transport [, presentation ?] and application layers. The output of these protocols are used to provide routing data for the internet layer. I don't think that this puts them in the internet layer. Bob
